Privacy policy
Last updated: March 1, 2026
StitchLark ("we", "our", "us") operates stitchlark.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using StitchLark, you agree to this policy.
Data we collect
- Account data — email address, name, and hashed password when you create an account.
- Pattern data — the charts and AI conversations you save to your account.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and actions taken (via Google Analytics 4). This data is aggregated and not personally identifiable.
- Payment data — billing is handled by Stripe. We never store your card number. We store a Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
- Uploaded images — photos you upload to generate patterns. These are processed to create your chart and then deleted. We do not store your source images.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the service.
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts).
- To improve the product using aggregated analytics.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising targeting. We do not share your data with third parties except as described here.
Third-party services
- Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting (your account and pattern data).
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregated usage analytics.
- Vercel — application hosting and CDN.
- Google Gemini — AI pattern generation (your prompts and images are sent to Google's API to generate patterns).
Data retention
We keep your account data as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days. Uploaded images are deleted immediately after pattern generation.
Cookies
We use one httpOnly authentication cookie (sf-auth) to keep you signed in. This cookie does not track you across other websites. Google Analytics sets its own analytics cookies, but we ask for consent before loading them for visitors in regions where that is legally required. If you want to reset that choice later, clear this site's browser storage or remove the cookie-consent localStorage entry.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@stitchlark.com.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion removes all your data from our systems.
Children
StitchLark is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or by showing a notice in the app. Continued use of StitchLark after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
